Though permitted by God for growth, significant challenges can either build or destroy our faith depending on how we respond. If we choose to believe in who God is and trust Him no matter what, our faith will grow substantially in the face of trials. But if we allow setbacks to cause us to doubt God’s faithfulness, we will lose the ability to trust Him and thereby lose the strength to overcome.

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
